Welcome to the Venus High School Library!

It is mission of the library program of  Venus to provide materials and services which complement and enhance all phases of the curriculum, to meet the information needs and interests of students, faculty and staff, and to encourage the lifelong enjoyment of reading.  The library’s collection of reference, non-fiction, fiction, periodicals, and videos includes over 18,000 items.  The library also provides high speed internet access for our student’s research needs.

Since the high school library also serves as a community library, our students have access to TexShare, a state library database program providing fifty electronic resources. These electronic databases are powerful research tools available 24 hours a day. They provide full-text articles from journals, newspapers, magazines, and many other sources. With Net Library entire books can be read while on-line. Database topics include homework help for students, health information, business information, biography and genealogy, as well as literature and archival information.
