The Venus Community Library will hold its annual summer reading program June 8th-July 9th. Each year the children of Venus enjoy movies, special programs, crafts, activities, and games, sponsored by Venus ISD, GDF Suez Energy, and Sanders Estes Correctional Center. This year's theme," Every Hero Has a Story" promises fictional and real community heroes, as well as a chance for each child to be a hero himself. Be sure to join us on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 in the HS cafeteria for special programs and crafts. Check the Venus Community Library website at venuscommunitylibrary.com for a calendar of events. The Rise School of Houston is a pre-school affiliate of Texas Children's Hospital, where children with and without disabilities learn together and prepare for kindergarten.
