Inclement Weather Information

Preparing for potential weather-related impacts on school operations, including delays and closures, is crucial as the winter season approaches.

In anticipation of inclement weather affecting school schedules, VISD will communicate any preparation tips, advisories, or potential delays through these channels:

1. Make sure you are signed up for ParentSquare.  This is the district's primary method of communication for parents and guardians.  The messages will come in the format specified in your account settings (text/email/push notification).  For help adjusting these settings contact your student's campus or email communications@venusisd.net

2. Follow us on social media -  Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/venusisd & Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/venus.isd/

3. Check our website - Our websites contain direct links to public posts from ParentSquare & Facebook.  If you are not on ParentSquare or don't follow social media, these notifications will still show on our website.

4. You may also check local news channels for closure information.
