Dear VISD Parent: Another unsubstantiated, threatening message was discovered in a restroom stall at Venus High School. Venus ISD and Venus Police Department are involved in the investigation. The majority of restrooms at VHS have been closed until further notice. The open restrooms will be monitored by VISD staff located in the hallway outside the restroom area. I realize this may create an inconvenience for students, but the safety of our students is a top priority. As a precaution, Venus Police Department will have an increased presence at VHS and increase patrols throughout the district. I appreciate your support as we continue to conduct a full investigation of the offense. Sincerely, Renee Warner, Ed.D. Superintendent All VISD parents and community members are invited to take part in a Student Safety Roundtable discussion at Venus Elementary School on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:30 am.
