The Texas State law requires all children attending school to meet certain immunization requirements and to have those records on file at the school. Your child will not be able to start school unless they have met the immunization requirements.
For children claiming medical exemptions, a written statement by the physician must be submitted to the school. Unless it is written in the statement that a lifelong condition exists, the exemption statement is valid for only 1 year from the date signed by the physician. Please check with your child’s physician’s office to see if they are up to date on their vaccinations prior to the school year starting. If your child receives any new vaccinations or is new to the school district, please provided an up to date record to the school. Age appropriate vaccines for Venus Middle School Students:
All immunizations may be received at the Texas Department of Health at 1601 N. Anglin in Cleburne. The fee is 0-30 dollars depending on your income. They are open most weeks Monday through Friday from 8:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-4:00pm. The phone number to the clinic is 817-517-2306. The Huguley Mobile Van will be at our district on July 29 from 8am to 1pm during our new student round up day. Which will be held at Venus High School. This is a great opportunity for to get your child’s immunizations. The Huguley Mobile Van is for students that are currently not insured, have insurance that does not pay for vaccinations or one of the government health plans such as Medicaid, CHIPs etc. You will be asked to fill out a form to affirm that you do not have insurance that covers vaccinations. Venus ISD is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meas will be provided free of charge to all children ages 1-18. Meals will be provided at the site and times as follows: Venus Primary School June 5 – July 13, 2017 Breakfast Served: 7:15 AM TO 8 AM Lunch Served: 11 AM – 12:30 PM Adults are welcome and meal prices are as follows: Breakfast: $2:25 Lunch: $3.60 Come bring your children for a free and nutritious meal Monday – Thursday. DEAR PARENTS, As the school year is closing out, we are making sure all school lunch accounts are paid in full. Beginning Wednesday, May 17, 2017, all student lunch accounts must be brought current. There will be no charging allowed. You may pay daily, or you are welcome to pre-pay for the remainder of the school year. You may also pay through EZ- Pay our on line service. The last day of the school year is May 26, 2017. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions, please contact the Child Nutrition Department @ 972-366-3642.
