Public Notice of Identification for School Improvement and Development of a Turnaround Plan (TAP)

Venus Elementary School and Venus Middle School have been identified for School Improvement based on both federal and state requirements. Due to the identification, both campuses are required to create a Turnaround Plan (TAP), which must be approved by TEA.  The Turnaround Plan describes the district’s strategy to improve a campus that has been identified as unacceptable for more than one year.  A TAP identifies specific actions the campus will take to address unacceptable performance, including details on restructuring, descriptions of academic programs, written comments from stakeholders, and a description of the budget to support improvement.

Community Meetings are scheduled at both campuses in order to give the parents and community members the opportunity to provide feedback on the development of the plan.
