Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT)
Venus ISD partners with Texas A&M University to provide access to Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT), a program that connects students with mental health professionals through telehealth.
Services are available at no cost to the district or families and may include:
- Mental health assessments and short-term counseling
- Crisis and suicide risk assessments
- Support for anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns
- Psychiatric evaluations, when appropriate
- Referrals for additional mental health services
Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM)
Venus ISD can also request Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM), a free, research-based program for students in grades 8–12. The five-session program covers mental health awareness, stress, depression, suicide prevention, supporting others, and asking for help.
How to Access Services
Parents and guardians interested in TCHATT services should contact their student's campus counselor to learn about the referral process.
